Abstract
Annotation. On the ground of the consideration of the philosophical, cultural and art works the experience of the aesthetic foundations of the Ukrainian romanticism examination is systematized and generalized. Common philosophical, aesthetic, worldview and artistic features of the European and Ukrainian romanticism are defined. The historical and cultural situation that preconditioned the development of the Ukrainian romanticism as a form of the national-cultural revival in the period of the 19th- the beginning of the 20th century is described. The specific national features of the Ukrainian romantic aesthetics are defined. The periodization of the Ukrainian romanticism that can be divided in 3 stages (early, mature and late) is justified.
