Abstract
The article highlights the specific aspects of piano trainings with adults. It was analyzed the main pedagogical problems, which could arise during the individual lessons with adult-beginners (at level 1). The author proposed to add teenagers (age 12-16) to the cohort of adult students according to their psycological characteristics and didactic goals. It is declared that education of children and adults should have different methodological background and be based on the capabilities and needs of senior students. Furthermore, teachers ought to take into account the age-aspect during the choosing of repertoire, didactic exercises and creative assignments. All the didactic materials should be interesting and useful for the students. It is important to make the connection between teacher and student as an educational tandem. Before the lessons start teacher should know more about student's habits, interests and expectation. It helps to plan the curriculum for the current student, to choose the repertoire which suits the best for his/her tastes and organize the model of practicing in the class and at home. Students should methodical follow the same educational routine on every lesson and be ready to dedicate the leisure time for practicing piano. Another important aspect of effective piano lessons with adult-beginners is the education evaluating process. Lifelong artistic education in Ukraine has three organizational levels - formal, non-formal and informal. On the formal level is common the evaluation procedure based on the principles of European bologna system (grades (1-100), scales (A-Fx) etc.). But evaluating process on the non-formal and informal education can be different and depends on teachers willingness or students educational goals. Nonetheless, the author proposed to evaluate the students' performance competence. It includes cognitive (knowledge), activity (piano playing skills), individual (music understanding and interpretation) and reflexive (self-evaluating and self-education) components. All of named components are the frame of piano trainings with adult-beginners. In addition, based on pedagogical experience and researches, the author proposed to use an alternative evaluating systems, for example, reward collection - for teenagers it could be stickers, stamps, cards and special cards for adults, which they could change to the additional didactic materials or assignments.
