Abstract
The article draws attention to the work of those scholars who reveal various aspects of this problem. A more detailed study of scientific research in the field of musical pedagogy is investigated. The authors outline the practice-oriented training of students in a higher artistic institution and investigate a pedagogical practice and a learning process. Analyzing scientific works, the author highlights the approaches (competent, informational, interdisciplinary, individual, differentiated, active and person-oriented) that promote the practical training of students-musicians in individual classes. At the same time, the author focuses on the individual classes of the discipline "Piano", which is studied by students-vocalists in the first year. The content of this training has been updated in a specific Training work program. Practical-oriented component of training plays a significant role in it. The training work program is intended to help a teacher with students in individual classes to simulate practical work with different vocal repertoires (exercises, vocalists, ukrainian folk songs) in various activities (reading of the new musical text, transposition, selection for hearing). Such an expansion of the musical repertoire in the class "Piano", based on the specifics of professional vocal disciplines, will enable the individual lessons with students of the first year to integrate them into future professional activities, to determine the individual trajectory of professional and creative self-development, to create the preconditions for their professional growth and to form and to develop instrumental-performing competencies.
