Abstract

The article reveals the feature of the implementation of activity principles in the program-methodical provision of social preschool education in the Russian Ukraine during the period of the imperial era (the end of the XIX – the beginning of the second decade of the XX century). Highlighted the contribution of the founders of private kindergartens (K. Bezmenov, M. Danilevich, O. Domonovich, K. Shabalin) and the Kyiv Community of Kindergartens in the creation of programs and methodical recommendations to educators considering the ideas of the activity approach of the Frebel’s pedagogical system (the idea of the active nature of the child, the idea about the relationship of mental development and physical activity, the idea of development of cognitive activity, the idea of self expression and creative expression, the idea of the game as the innate necessity and conditions of development of preschool child, idea of manual labor as the leading way of gaining knowledge and development of the child). The article deals with the comparative analysis of program methodical materials developed by teachers N. Lubenets ("The plan of conversations, subject lessons and classes in kindergarten" (1907), "The approximate program of lessons in a kindergarten" (1908) and M. Petersen ("Plan of lessons in kindergarten" (1911-1912; 1914)). It is revealed that despite some differences in the views of teachers on the content of educational work with children, the algorithm for constructing a pedagogical process, the indicated program-methodical materials are prepared on the basis of progressive scientific achievements in pedagogy and psychology in relation to the activity nature of a child of preschool age. The article describes the methodical advice of N. Lubenets (head of the Kyiv Community of National Kindergartens) to kindergarten educators regarding the organization and conduct of Freelance classes: construction of cubes, lying out of sticks, interweaving of stripes – which she developed from the standpoint of neo-fibrébelism, actual that time in theory and practice of preschool education of Ukraine
