Abstract
The article highlights the figure of Boris Grinchenko as a teacher who directly applied the practical tools in the patriotic upbringing of his daughter - Nastya Grinchenko. On the basis of archival sources (ego-documents) the influence of his father on the formation of Anastasia's consciousness is highlighted. The article highlights the possibilities of using ego-documents in the educational process as a tool for forming the concept of "patriotism".
