Abstract
The problems of modern cities in the conditions of development of circular economy are considered in the article. The dynamics of waste generation and management in the territory of Ukraine and, in particular, in the city of Kyiv for the period 2010-2018 has been investigated. It is concluded that the volume of waste generated during the studied period in the territory of Ukraine by 17.27% and in the city of Kyiv by 56.07%. A significant decrease of pollutant emissions into the atmosphere was observed by 42.9% in Ukraine as a whole and by 88.99% in the city of Kyiv.
