Abstract
The discipline "Introduction to the specialty of" International journalism "aims to form an understanding of the theoretical foundations of the activities of the international journalist, the functioning of the media and news agencies in foreign countries, as well as developing appropriate practical skills. Therefore, the purpose of studying the discipline "Introduction to the specialty" is to acquaint students with the idea of the place and role of journalism in the system of international relations, modern types of international communication and coverage of international news, learning the processes of international information cooperation, as well as providing the opportunity to acquire important practical skills in international education . The main tasks of studying the discipline are: Чення study the peculiarities of becoming international journalism, its principles and functions; study of features of international political communication and methods of analysis of international events; Лення familiarization with the international processes of international exchange of information; determining the impact of the media on international relations; identifying international relations trends, global challenges; Чення study the concepts of development of the modern world information space; Лення familiarization with the legal aspects of journalists' activities; promoting the professionalism of future journalists; Understanding of contemporary problems of development of international journalism. The discipline is considered in the unique context of Ukraine's national priorities and national security. Cross-domain links. "Introduction to the specialty" provides some basic knowledge and skills related to the process of training students in professional journalism disciplines - "Media Issues", "History of Ukrainian Journalism", "History of Foreign Journalism", "International Relations and Foreign Policy" and more. It applies the categories of international relations, sociology, psychology, communicativity. During the course, students gain the following competences in accordance with the International Journalism educational program:
