Abstract
The purpose of teaching the discipline is to assimilate students knowledge of imidology as a science and academic discipline, image-making as a form of modern social communication; awareness of key concepts and patterns in this field, developing practical skills for complex analysis and creating image products of various types. The objectives of the course are the formation of competencies: - the ability to critically evaluate the information received, use logic and rational reasoning, completeness of argumentation to assess the situation and the correctness of the chosen path, solving problems in the field of image-making; - the ability to cognitive flexibility, the ability to analyze the phenomenon, situation, problem, taking into account various parameters, factors, causes; ability to adapt thinking to solve problems in changing conditions or unusual situations; - the ability to be creative, open to new ideas and technologies; ability to produce new ideas in the field of image formation and promotion; - awareness of the image as an integral part of the activity of a person, organization in modern society; - understanding the mechanisms of influence of the image on the consciousness and subconscious of the audience; - awareness of the main legal and ethical restrictions in the field of image-making in Ukraine and in the world; - ability to manage, in particular the formation of their own image and recognition of the results of their work; - Awareness of the possibility of using theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of image science in journalism.
