Abstract
he course "Archival Studies" aims to provide students with knowledge on archival science as a scientific field and discipline, to provide mastering the basic principles and practical skills of modern archival affairs, to teach principles of work with archival documentation, rules of archiving and storage of documents. Program tasks of the course "Archival Studies": - to gain knowledge of the general principles of archival science as a science; - to study the main concepts and terminology of archival studies; - consider the main stages of the history of archival affairs in Ukraine and the world; - get acquainted with the organization of archival documents in Ukraine; - to consider rules and methods of accounting, description and cataloging of archival materials; -to get acquainted with the basics and the procedure of conducting expert examination of archival institutions documents; 5 - to study technologies of storage of documents in archives; - to consider the specifics of accounting and storage of scientific and technical documentation; -to investigate the main directions of informatization of archives; principles i methods of using archival information. Programmatic competences of the course "Archival Studies": -knowledge of the general principles of archival science as a science; - the main concepts and terminology of archival studies; - the main stages of the history of archival affairs in Ukraine and the world; -organization of archival documents in Ukraine; - rules and methods of accounting, description and cataloging of archival materials; - bases and procedure of examination of archival documents; -technologies for storing documents in archives; -specific accounting and storage of scientific and technical documentation; -the main directions of informatization of archival affairs; principles and methods use of archival information.
