Abstract

The purpose of the discipline is to study the features of basic technological processes in libraries and archives that underlie automated processes library information systems and modern information and communication systems technologies, understanding of the basics of modern library and archival functioning institutions and the development of skills in electronic and digital environment, constant growth of information flows, introduction of new ones hardware and software. Objectives of the discipline: - to acquire theoretical material from the basics of information activity and modern information systems and technologies; - know the classification of existing traditional technological library- bibliographic processes; - understand the possibilities of information retrieval systems in electronic environment; - to acquire knowledge and develop skills of practical skills of the organization technological processes aimed at partial or full automation library and bibliographic and information processes in libraries and archives.
