Abstract
The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with information search skills; getting acquainted with theoretical and practical aspects of the scientific activity of the scientist. Task: • mastery of professional knowledge in gathering information and preparing scientific publications; • the acquisition of practical skills sufficient to present scientific results in publications included in scientometric databases. • Mastering the universal skills of presenting and promoting scientific papers in the Web. The course is aimed at the formation of professional (special) program competences of the educational and professional program of preparation of masters in the specialty 029 "Information, library and archives": Common: - application of knowledge in practical situations; - use of modern technologies in practical activity; - Generation of new ideas (creativity); - work in a team; - search, process and analyze information from different sources. Communicative: - interpersonal skills; - presentation of research results in the form of publications; - dialogue in dialogue with a wide scientific community. Specialist: - use of Internet resources and technologies for solving experimental, practical and prognostic tasks in the field of professional activity; - personal responsibility in publishing activity and autonomous initiative in bibliographic and abstract databases; - the use of computer technology to enhance professional performance.
