Abstract

The purpose of the discipline - the formation of students' modern ideas about mass communication in a globalized information society; acquisition knowledge of forms and directions of international activity and cooperation domestic and foreign library and information institutions and sales programs and projects with the participation of foreign and international organizations domestic institutions and organizations and professional associations library and information sphere. Objectives of the discipline: - mastering of special terminology in international cooperation in the library and information sphere; - knowledge of stages of formation and understanding of principles functioning of international cooperation in library information sphere; - mastering knowledge of the forms and directions of the international cooperation in the library and information sphere; - ability to analyze specific library information programs and projects implemented by foreign and international organizations in Ukraine in order to participate in them; - ability to search nationally and internationally information resources, navigate the conditions of information and access to these resources.
