Abstract
The article analyzes the pedagogical principles of V. S. Kosenko. On the basis of memoirs of contemporaries it describes the artist’s multifaceted figure that combined composer, performing and pedagogical activity. It also considers innovative method of piano performance by V. S. Kosenko from the point of view of practical use of his postulates in the modern musical and pedagogical activity and education of future teachers of musical art
