Abstract
Christian critique of O. Blok`s poem “Twelve” which have been existed during 20th century but ignored by Soviet literary criticism was analyzed in the article. The interpretation of poem by philosophers and Orthodox religious thinkers – the contemporaries of the poet (“The priest of Petrograd”, P. Florenskiy, M. Berdiaev, S. Bulgakov, G. Florovskiy) and by specialists in literature in the cluster of 20th-21th centuries (A. Payman, D. Magomedova, M. Dunayev, I. Yesaulov) in order to follow Blok`s poem was evaluated in sync and diachrony not only in artistically but historical prospect, was observed in the article. The subject of debate was Blok`s demonism the comparison of the “Twelve” with Pushkin's “Demons”, the parody of the image of Christ, the controversy "Christ or Antichrist", the liturgical subtext of the work. In modern literary criticism scientists adhere to read the poem in religious-mythological way, which allows us to realize reality which was uncovered to A.A. Blok at the beginning of 1918 year. In this plan Pushkin`s national myth about devilish crossed with the problem of “Russian revolt” (D. Magomedova). I. Yesaulov point out artistic logic of the author's rapprochement of Devine and devilish, which became the main feature of the poem. So “Demons” of golden times of Russian literature turned into the apostles of Soviet time, which bear not the good news, but the destruction and neglect of Christian values.
