Abstract
Ethical issues in research are in the spotlight of the scientific community as its importance and critical role in advancing research values have long been recognized. Undoubtedly, the quality and implementation of research ethics help to further develop the modern society. However, research ethics is a dynamic phenomenon. The landscape of research ethics is always in flux because new scientific methods, new materials used in research studies in different domains of science outline and indicate new ethical problems. Hence, modern Ukrainian universities should develop and adapt their codes of honour considering the experience of the world-class universities, define responsibilities of academic, pedagogical, scientific staff and students.
