Abstract
The work program of the course "Media Research Methodology: Global and Local Media" is a normative document of the Kyiv University named after Boris Grinchenko, which was developed by the Department of Journalism and New Media on the basis of a master's educational program in the specialty of the specialty 061 "Journalism", "Media Communication") full-time and part-time education. The work program is concluded in accordance with the requirements of the credit-module system of training organization. The program determines the amount of knowledge that a student must acquire in accordance with the requirements of educational and qualification characteristics, an algorithm for studying the educational material of the discipline "Media Research Methodology: Global and Local Media", the necessary methodological support, components and technology for evaluating students' academic achievement. The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the peculiarities of the functioning of the media system of the world. Course objectives: Прия promote understanding of the essence of the media system by students; introduce students to the varieties of media systems; deepen students' knowledge of media systems of the modern world.
