The program is concluded in accordance with the requirements of the credit-module system of training organization. The program determines the amount of knowledge that the student must acquire in accordance with the requirements of educational qualification characteristics, algorithm for studying the educational material of the discipline "Media Regulation: Media Law", the necessary methodological support, components and technology for evaluating students' academic achievement. The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the fundamental foundations of public administration in the field of information policy and information security as a practical policy of the state power to perform the functions of the state in solving common problems of life for the whole society. Task: - to acquaint students with the key problems of content and meaning of public administration and security in the field of information processes; - to give students an idea of ​​the mandatory conditions for the implementation of the state information policy, its legal framework. As a result of studying the discipline, the student must know: - the basic components of the state information policy system; - the legislative base of the state information policy; - basics of information security of the state; - signs of information wars and information confrontation; - Legal acts and documents concerning the media; - international documents on media activities. - apply knowledge of media law in practical journalistic activity; - avoid situations where a journalist may break the law or be in danger; - to use knowledge of the rights and responsibilities provided for by law for journalists; - apply the skills of public speaking and argumentation of the position through participation in discussions, debates and role-playing games on the example of court cases; - work with legal sources and literature; - to analyze and summarize court cases; - use basic knowledge and understanding of topics such as: the concept of media law in a global context, protection of sources of information, access to information, defamation, media regulation, media and elections, media and justice, protection of privacy and public morality.
