Abstract

The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with basic knowledge of the basics of jazz improvisation and their use in performing activities. The task of the discipline is: Acquisition of the ability to perceive and reproduce musical jazz material, acquire basic knowledge of the composition of jazz works and jazz composition; acquisition of skills of analysis of jazz works, their structure, rhythmic features, construction of vocal lines development of independent work on works in different genres of jazz improvisation (entry level); formation of the personality's self-realization ability; its focus on unlocking creativity; development of musical thinking, creativity and musical taste of the performer; getting acquainted with different jazz styles and techniques of vocal jazz improvisation.
