Abstract
The features of the creativity of artists of the ХХth century were examined. The artistic heritage, in particular, the composition and color scheme of paintings were analyzed. The panorama of the development of fine art of the ХХth – beginning of the ХХІ century was defined and factors of influence on it were identified. It was found that Ukrainian art today is developing dynamically and confidently in all its most original manifestations – from nostalgic proposals in the spirit of traditional realism of the ХХth century to various artistic innovative presentations that began in the 90s.
