Abstract
The article offers postmetaphysical conception of “the political”. The author analyses various approaches to the legitimation of politics in modern social-philosophic discourse mainly with reference to the works by G. Balandier, J. Habermas, C. Castoriadies, N. Luhman, C. Schmitt.
