Abstract

The article presents an analysis of research and publications on current approaches that are embedded in the International Classification of Functioning, Functioning, and Health (ICF). The specificities of WHO-FIC family classifications related to health are summarized, with particular emphasis on the International Classification of Diseases. The purpose and further possibilities of application of the International Classification of Diseases in the conditions of introduction of the International Classification of Functioning, Limitations of Life and Health are analyzed. The ICF was found to be based on a close integration of medical and social models, but at the core contains a biopsychosocial model of understanding disability. The basis of biopsychosocial approach for health assessment, restriction, within the broad context of social barriers is revealed. It is noted that life-limiting, according to the ICF, is a normal aspect of human existence, since any person can have a lifelimitation to one degree or another. It is established that in the International Classification of Functioning, Limitation of Life and Health, Functioning and Limitation of Life are considered as a result of complex interactions between biological, psychological and social factors. It is noted that this classification enables different specialists to speak a common language to study the dynamics of different components and their consequences, but it also becomes a basis for understanding the levers for improving the living situation of people with disabilities, ie understanding how often, and where exactly the person needs it. The value of classification is disclosed in that it allows to describe the components of health, to understand the interaction between health problems, functioning and disability and contextual factors (personal and environment, etc.).
