Abstract

The article is devoted to the characteristics of creativity as a basis for the future teacher's innovative activity. The practical experience of forming the creative qualities of future preschool teachers in the process of their training for innovative activity in conditions of higher education institution is highlighted as well. It is pointed out that one of the priorities of modern education is the orientation on the training of a teacher of innovative type, capable to realize the standards of education, to introduce new technologies in the educational process, to solve professional problems creatively. It is established that creativity is an attribute of an innovative personality, the main way of his/her self-expression and existence, which is realized in innovative activity. Teacher’s innovative activity is inseparable from creativity because it provides the generation of new ideas, the result of which is innovation. Creativity and innovative activity are united by their subject, that is the innovative personality, which is the driving force behind the transformation of all spheres of society’s life. According to the authors' approach, innovative activity of a preschool teacher is a complex multifunctional creative activity aimed at innovative development and improvement of preschool education quality, formation of a future teacher as an active subject of change and innovation, capable to independent initiation and realization of innovation. The training of a future preschool teacher for innovative professional activity should be based on the knowledge of pedagogical innovation and pedagogical creativity, and should consist in actualization of his/her personal qualities and creative abilities, which motivate him/her to conscious professional development and willingness to create and introduce pedagogical innovations in the education and upbringing of preschool children. Effective means of stimulating students' creative potential and shaping their readiness for innovative activity are facilitated by problem lectures, search seminars, business and role-playing games, educational projects, various types of creative tasks: drawing up schemes, models based on the information obtained, writing essays, developing various types of children's creative activities (games, designing, art modelling, etc.).
