Abstract

Theoretical questions of management of introduction of health-saving technologies in elementary school are investigated. The Concept of the National Health 2020 Program: The Ukrainian Dimension has been identified as one of the main tasks of preserving and enhancing the physical, mental and social health of students. It is stated that real school practice does not ensure the preservation and improvement of the health of younger students. Health saving technology is defined as a valeologically sound system of measures aimed at creating safe and favorable conditions for the full participation of elementary school students in the educational process. Health-saving technologies are characterized as a system of organizational forms of education, upbringing and training, the main purpose of which is to preserve and promote the health of the individual. It is shown that health-saving technologies imply purposeful interaction of teachers and students, a consistent system of active actions of all participants of the educational process, aimed at creating a healthy environment for the formation of such life skills, which determine the preservation, strengthening and restoration of health and orient the way to the promotion of health life, development of spiritually, mentally, physically and socially healthy personality. The need for a change of an attitude towards child’s health in the educational system becomes apparent. Health-saving pedagogy on the one hand should form student’s special knowledge, abilities, skills of health preservation, health strengthening, creation of an individual healthy lifestyle, and on the other hand provide possibilities for realization of independent attempts to improve themselves, their body, mental health, emotions, to nurture a humane attitude to the world, to the environment, to oneself in terms of ped- agogical technologies. The main task of the modern primary school is to educate a competent person who not only possesses knowledge, but also knows how to apply it in life, to act adequately in appropriate situations, to adapt to difficult social conditions, to overcome life difficulties, to maintain its health at the proper level, tо provide resistance to negative influences. In this regard, it is of particular importance to direct the development of healthy lifestyle skills in children.
