Abstract
A research purpose consists in systematization of modifications of short story in a novel structure on material of Ukrainian prose of the 20—30s. The attempt to synthesize text about a text’s specific peculiarities is made, which all the scholars think the base of its definition. The article brings up a question of avantgardiness of experimental novel of Ukrainian literature. The purpose of the proposed research is to identify novel features of functioning as a structural element in the prose.
