Abstract
The course "Theory of Information and Communication" is designed to form the theoretical base of the bachelor's degree in journalism, therefore, the purpose of its study is to comprehend the essence of information, mass information, dissemination of mass information as the basis of mass media activity, the nature of mass communication as a phenomenon, structure mass communication process, mass communication functions, mastering the skills of resisting mass communication influence, manipulation and the like.
