Abstract
The aim of the course "Mass Communication and Information: Communication Technologies" is to develop students' theoretical and practical knowledge related to the functioning of communication technologies and the development of skills in their use. The specificity of communication technologies in the work of a journalist lies in the impact on the mass consciousness, which today is marked by the style of the information society and the development of a methodological paradigm of mechanisms for influencing the recipient, therefore, the structure of the course shows the specifics of the transformation and formation of communication technologies in the context of informatization and digitalization.
