Abstract
The purpose of studying the course "Political Science" is to comprehend the political sphere of public life, the assimilation of knowledge about socio-political processes, forms of government and state structure, the role of the state in the life of society; assistance in the formation of students' national consciousness, scientific thinking in the field of politics, political culture, interest in deepening and expanding the worldview; awareness of the essence, social purpose and functions of political science, its role and place in the system of socio-humanitarian sciences.
