Abstract
The purpose and objectives of the disciplineThe discipline "Ukrainian Studies" is aimed at acquiring students of general humanities competencies: new, to continuous learning with the acquisition of new knowledge and strategies / ways of thinking); development of reflection (critical and self-critical thinking, tendency to verify the results, concern for quality performance of professional tasks); intellectual communication (tolerance for dissent, public speaking skills, ability to express oneself clearly and distinctly in the communication process, group work skills, openness, ability to perceive and take into account comments, optimize one's own position in the discussion process, attitudes to dialogue); analysis and interpretation of the humanities text - the ability to distinguish and reproduce the semantic structure of the text, evaluate the sequence and validity of argumentation, identify productive ideas, ability to compare the content of different texts, search and summarize information on the research problem, writing skills analytical and journalistic reviews of special literature, compliance with the standards of academic design text); personal values and will (intellectual conscience, academic integrity, understanding of the need for a responsible attitude to work, clear and timely performance of duties, ability to work in a team and independently, show initiative, avoid uncritical adherence to authority, life and professional realization on the basis of -worldviews of mankind, which is inextricably linked with the skills of critical thinking, mastering and defending civic virtues and rights, social responsibility, as well as patriotic care for the productive development of the state and society, understand the worldview, legal, social, economic, cultural, historical, spiritual- moral issues that go beyond professional specialization, so that responsibly and effectively act in different social contexts, contributing to the positive solution of urgent problems).
