The discipline "Ukrainian Studies" is aimed at acquiring students of general humanities competencies: thinking skills (ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis, to identify in information data and concepts of flaws and vulnerabilities, contradictions and incompleteness of argumentation, readiness to learn new, continuous learning with new knowledge and strategies / ways of thinking); development of reflection (critical and self-critical thinking, tendency to verify the results, concern for the quality of professional tasks); intellectual communication (tolerance for dissent, public speaking skills, ability to speak clearly and distinctly in the communication process, group work skills, openness, ability to perceive and take into account comments, optimize one's position in the discussion process, dialogue); linguistic and textological ability (analysis and interpretation of humanitarian text - the ability to identify and reproduce the semantic structure of the text, evaluate the sequence and validity of argumentation, identify productive ideas, the ability to compare the content of different texts, search and summarize information on research problems, writing and writing skills abstracting, creation of systematized reviews of special literature, observance of standards of academic design of the text);
