Abstract
The article is intended to highlight emotiological issues within existing theories of poetics. The approaches to emotiveness of poetic texts studying are considered within antique, affective, ontological, cognitive poetics as well as poetics of reflection and paradoxes. The basic features pertaining to the category of emotiveness of a poetic text have been outlined. They include valency (positive/negative), fluctuating nature, emergence, intentionality, explicitness/implicitness.
