Abstract

This MoPED project report presents 3D mapping results of the Education system in Ukraine. The report consists of an introduction, two parts, conclusions and annexes. In the introduction it is substantiated the necessity of radical changes aimed at improving the quality and competitiveness of education, changing the role of academic staff in Ukraine according to the world requirements. The first part analyses the state policy and regulatory framework in the area of digital skills and competencies in Ukraine; the study of information and communication competencies in the European educational space, in particular the UNESCO recommendations, the European e-Competence Framework 2.0, the framework DigComp 2.0 digital competence and DigCompEdu's Digital Competency Framework, the requirements for digital literacy in the United States, including the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) standards, as well as development of the digital competencies in Ukraine. According to the results of the analysis of these documents, questionnaire was developed and survey was carried out in three groups of respondents (annexes 1-3), in the six Universities, participating in the MoPED project. 769 university teachers, 413 educators and 2055 students took part in the survey. The second part presents the detail 3D mapping of the education system in Ukraine based on the results of the survey, which reflects the trends of understanding modern educational trends, the use of innovative pedagogical technologies and digital instruments in the educational process by teachers and students of institutions of higher education and teachers of secondary education. The questionnaires consist of five main parts: 1. Introduction 2. Modern educational trends 3. Innovative pedagogical technologies and methods 4. Digital competencies (ICT competencies) 5. Using Digital Tools The attitude of the three groups of respondents to the modern educational trends, innovative pedagogical technologies and the level of interest in mastering digital instruments and ability to use them effectively in the educational process according to the results of the survey have been highlighted, which made it possible to compare the attitude of educators, teachers and students to the given categories. The conclusions determine how important the educational trends, modern pedagogical innovative technologies and the level of interest in possessing digital instruments and their ability to use them effectively in the educational process varies for different groups of respondents. This research can be guide for preparation of in-service training programs for educators. In particular, results demonstrate high level of student attention to pedagogical innovative technologies and the use of digital tools in their preparation and formation as specialists.
