Abstract
The article deals with different exercises for teaching listening: exercises for the formation of general listening skills, exercises for overcoming of grammatical and lexical difficulties, exercises for the development of memory, attention, logical thinking, imagination and prediction. The lengthy experience of using these exercises in the process of teaching listening confirmed their effectiveness.
