The author focuses on the interpretation of Ukrainian literature and concept of Ukrainian literature, grounded in Magdalenа Laslo-Kutsіuk articles, as well as the individual style of the critic. The subject of scientific analysis was methodological principles relevant to modern literary studies. The article presents an attempt at methodological reflection of the basis of the literary critical activity of Romanian scientist. In this article analyses the contribution into Ukrainian science of Magdalenа Laslo-Kutsіuk. The article summarizes the theoretical, historical, and literary works, devoted general poetics and interpretation of Ukrainian literature. In the works devoted to the works of Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko, Ukrainian-Romanian literary relations, analysis of texts of Ukrainian literature of the twentieth century, the researcher proposes different interpretative models. Among the literary theories of the XX century, which were most widely and productively used by Magdalena Laszlo-Kucyuk, it is worth to distinguish hermeneutics, comparative studies, cultural anthropology, mythocriticism and intertextuality. An attempt is being made to analyze the ideas in the context of the main directions of development of the literary, against the background of methodological searches of literary studies. The development of interdisciplinary research, the need to crystallize a universal methodology on the background of pluralism and theoretical eclecticism – a sign as individual scientific research. It is important that Magdalena Laszlo-Kutsiuk emphasizes a new type of discourse inspired by the Chornobyl catastrophe. The original is the exhibition of Yuri Andrukhovich's novels "The Moscoviada" and Oleksandr Solzhenitsyn's "Cancer Ward". Intertextual parameters lead to a potential interpretation of these works under different cross-cultural perspectives: existential, ontological, anthropological, geopolitical, anticolonial. In addition, when analyzing Yuri Andrukhovich's style, Magdalena Laszlo-Kucyuk turns to the experience of socionics. The specifics of critical thinking and style of the scientist may be the subject of further research.
