Abstract

The evolution of the development of the Crimean State Arts College by M. Samokish, its graduates who have made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture, is revealed from the moment the school was founded (1937) to the occupation of the Crimean peninsula by Russia (2014). The method of teaching professional disciplines, consistent complication of tasks on the basis of acquired skills of students, constant consolidation of skills during the period of study are investigated and analyzed. The structure of training of future artists, which forms a solid base for admission to universities, is highlighted. The leading principles of teaching art students at the college, which were formed by Ukrainian teachers on the basis of the national traditional school of drawing and painting and are a common part of the educational process of Ukraine, are considered.
