Abstract
The article substantiates the role of family readings as an effective means of forming a system of values and reader interest in preschool children. Particular attention is paid to the disclosure of aspects of interaction between the preschool institution and the family, which is based on cooperation, partnership, co-creation. The results of the experimental research devoted to psychological and pedagogical conditions of formation of value orientations and the relation to the book of children and adults are described. The author's technology of DMiK is characterized, which is able to successfully form in parents the idea of the importance and features of fiction in the daily life of children, to motivate them to family readings; to bring up children's interest in books, the ability to holistically perceive works of various genres, the willingness to respond emotionally to the artistic content.
