State and prospects of development of wast-free technologies in Ukraine in the conditions of progress of circular economy

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the state and prospects of development of waste-free and low-waste technologies in Ukraine in the conditions of progress of circular economy. It is substantiated that in the conditions of increasing rates of STP and development of circular economy development and introduction of waste-free or low-waste technologies is necessary for preservation of environment and further development of mankind. It is determined that in Ukraine for the period 2010-2019 there was a slow pace of renewal of equipment and technologies based on innovation, the share of enterprises that implemented innovations was 11.5 - 13.8% of the total number of industrial enterprises. Based on the analysis, a positive trend of growth in the number of new technological processes introduced into production by 13.46%, of which new or significantly improved low-waste, resource-saving technological processes by 78.91%. The dynamics of waste generation on the territory of Ukraine for the period 2010-2019 is investigated. It is concluded that the volume of waste generated on the territory of Ukraine for the period under study increased by 4.49%. The largest share in waste generation is occupied by mining and quarrying enterprises (in 2019 - 88.46%) and the volume of waste generation at these enterprises over the past ten years increased by 12.41%, which is 7.92% exceeds the rate of waste generation in Ukraine as a whole. Waste generation in the processing industry accounts for a smaller share (6.96% in 2019). It is revealed that in scientific works modern technologies are divided into technologies of circular economy and other technologies. Based on the conducted analysis of the dynamics and rates of waste accumulation on the territory of Ukraine, it is proposed to pay primary attention to the development of technologies for the processing of already accumulated waste, for which the author's classification is proposed. Stages of diagnostics of possibility and readiness of the enterprise to introduce waste-free technologies are offered.
