Abstract

The article deals with the problem of music teacher-to-be professional training in educational folk-instrumental groups. Orchestras and ensembles are considered as creative laboratories where students learn a technology of collective music performing (academic, folk or variety) and professional communication and familiarize themselves with the heritage of domestic and world music. The main scientific and methodical works of domestic scientists has been analyzed, as well as works of orchestral classes’ teachers and managers of folk-instrumental groups in the higher schools and universities. The main purpose of this was to establish specifics and essence of training of music teacher-to-be. The main regulations of the teacher training and artistic higher school’s curriculum have been analyzed. The positive trends in the activity of these educational groups have been made: 1) the content of orchestra and ensemble students training is determined by the modern requirements to this performance art; 2) conformity of the forms, methods and means of students training in ensemble classes to the modern level of pedagogy; 3) considering the specificity of music teachers training and performing activity of modern music teacher in the planning of repertoire and ways of work with folk-instrumental groups. The negative trends in the activity of the groups have been shown: 1) a lack of focusing of ensemble training on development of professional and personal qualities;2) annual change of orchestral and ensembles participants; 3) a lack of classes for difficult repertoire learning; 4) differences in the level of pre-university instrumental students training; 5) a need for self-arrangement and processing of the repertoire by the teacher according to the students orchestra member’s level during the certain academic year. It is summarized that addressing the shortcomings of the professional training of music teachers-to-be requires a special scientific research. This will be a subject matter of our further studies.
