Abstract

The results of the implementation of the preventive “Program 15” in six regions of Ukraine are presented and the opportunity of its application in various groups of youth and teenagers are substantiated. The advisability of the application of the program for families in difficult living conditions is highlighted. “Program 15” is a complex preventive program aimed at prevention of the HIV infection spread as well as related risk behaviour and other negative social phenomena (psychoactive drugs taking, violence, etc.). The peculiarities of the program are the engagement of the families with teenagers and the implementation of the gender-age approach. Basing on the results of the program implementation evaluation, the authors prove the high efficiency of the program, in particular for the formation of the case knowledge and beliefs concerning HIV and socially dangerous phenomena and diseases. Besides, the program proves to be effective for the development of the safe outlooks and attitudes relating to self-behaviour, improvement of the relations inside the families-members of the program and anticipation of the pedagogical potential of the parents, ego boost of the members and change of their life activity directed at positive changes in their lives and in the life of the community. The stated results are long-lasting, and this fact allows the authors of the research to recommend the “Programу 15” for the implementation as a preventive service in territorial communities as a primary preventive work with teenagers and youth, and as a secondary preventive means for the work with individual groups of youth and teenagers and families in difficult living conditions, in particular with patronate families, children deprived of parental support and youth, including refugees and dislocated individuals.
