Abstract

The importance of trust as one of strategic assets of any business entity is confirmed by the fact that strengthening trust among consumers and external stakeholders is one of highest priorities today. Purpose of the article is to offer the author’s vision of measures to improve trust in data and analytics, to identify the main elements of the institution of trust and its structure, as well as to determine role and importance of the institution of trust for companies. The article considers the institution of trust through the prism of digitalization and identifies its important role in governance at different levels of economic aggregation. An attempt was made to present in general content of the latest digital technologies Big Data in trust management system. Author’s vision of the mechanism of formation and management of trust of clients on the basis of digitalization, definition of its characteristics and revealing of content is offered. Main reasons for the loss of trust are unethical behavior of employees of the organization, the unreliability of information protection of data and assets, as well as disregard for public interests. At the same time, trust is a fundamental value of the company, which is based on four components: functioning in global markets, motivating employees, customer satisfaction and building a positive reputation. Authors expressed the opinion that: investors’ decisions are based on trust; key role in building trust in company belongs to top management, but it is important that everyone in organization learns to build trust; trust/distrust exists at all levels of interaction: within organization, market, society, country and beyond. Research argues the importance of developing relationships based on trust, tools for building relationships based on trust, problems that occur in the development of long-term trust relationships in the context of digitalization on the example of success of two Ukrainian companies. Ratio of institutional and interpersonal trust from the standpoint of digitalization of the economy is revealed. Rating of the institute’s trust in state institutions in some countries of the world in 2011 and 2018 is presented.
