The definitive characteristics of such basic research concepts as innovations, innovations and innovative technologies are revealed. Domestic normative legal documents are analyzed, which reflect the issue of introduction of innovations in the educational process. Based on the development of psychological and pedagogical research, the concepts of innovation and innovation are distinguished. The elaborations of the issues of anti-innovation barriers are presented and their classification is given: external (social, organizational, methodical, material-technical) and internal (psychological). The concepts and genesis of SWOT-analysis technology are developed, on its basis the SWOT-matrix of use of innovative technologies in the educational process of preschool institution is created, in which the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of use of innovations in preschool are singled out. The problems of using innovative technologies in preschool are listed and analyzed, as well as the prospects of their use in preschool education are outlined.
