Abstract
This article examines the study and analysis of wall painting in the cities of Portugal and Brazil as territories that during their development had a colonial system or were part of the states that pursued a policy of expansion. In particular, a review of scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists (N. Tsygina, R. Shakter), which cover historical information about the formation of world street art, reveal the facts that influenced the spread of wall art on different continents. Electronic resources that broadcast examples of street art works in these countries are outlined. Portugal and Brazil are considered as a country developing in postcolonial alliances. The historical plasticity of the borders of these territories and the cultural influences of neighboring states and nomadic tribes that have inhabited these lands for centuries (Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Arabs and Berbers) on the formation of Portuguese and Brazilian fine arts are analyzed. Accordingly, it was determined that the leading in the murals of Portugal are images imitating Arabic ceramic tiles “azulejo” and oriental motifs, indicating the influence of the culture of the peoples of the same name on the art of local writers (Diogo Machado, pseudo – Add Fuel). It is noted that the street space of Brazilian cities is full of images with reference to the ornamental motifs of Indian tribes and African peoples. In particular, it is expanding in the creative communities of artists named Nunca, Кobra, Zen Palito & Rimon Guimaraes, Priscilia Amoni, Speto and Criola. At the same time, a methodological apparatus for studying frescoes in postcolonial discourse is proposed. It is based on the principle of scientific reliability and comprehensiveness, genetic, systemic, axiological, sociological and functional approaches, a number of historical (historical-genetic, historical-cultural, historical-chronological, microhistory method) and artistic methods (iconographic and typology method).
