Abstract
The article focuses on the structure of the modern media space, reveals the contents of the discipline "Information Culture" addresses issues of formation of personal information culture. The author also stresses the importance of information security, the necessity of mastering a systematic body of knowledge, skills, information literacy skills for a full life in the information society.
