Abstract

Nowadays the issue of promoting conflictological competence of personality is of great importance. Psychological literature analyses on this problem is presented as well as the peculiarities of promoting conflictological competence, practices and techniques to develop such competence are defined. For research purposes the set of theoretical investigating methods was used which includes scitntific analyses, generalizations and classifying. The characteristics of various psychological practices of promoting conflictological competence of personality were given. Such competence is defined as the abiliity of a person (or a group) to carry out activities in the real conflicts to minimize destructive forms of conflict and change over socially negative conflicts to socially positive ones. In our understanding, a conflict is the significant characteristics of community and individual essence, whilst conflictological competence is the precondition of personal and professional growth of individual. The system of practices to promote conflictological competence is shown in the article. It would be appropriate to use such practices both at the individual and group levels. Analytical practices mean regular analyzing of conflicts, their origin, types, structure, etc. Self-regulating practices provide for actions and techniques which are aimed to promote the ability of a person to make influence on their state while being in conflict process. Communicational practices are based on skills of building dialogue, discussing conflict situation with opponent and articulating possible decisions. While using behavioral practices a person may change his/her behavioral strategies, actions, tactics in conflict situations according to circumstances and interests of participants. Finally, reflexive practices include comprehending one’s own actions, behavior and emotions in conflict by participants.
