Abstract

Lydia Selyanko is a completely original artist of modern society, whose creative style was formed during the Kyiv period of her life, after moving to the capital from Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad region, where she was born in 1988. In the city of chestnuts, the artist visited the painting studio of famous graphic artist Vladimir I. Ivanov-Akhmetov on Andrew's Descent, which influenced her further choice of profession. Later, honing her professional skills at the graphics department of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Galina Ivanovna Galinskaya's workshop), young Lydia was able to hone her own artistic skills and present the first works of a professional artist on a diploma project on Persian-Scythian narratives. Beginning with the works «Darius» and «Scythian» (2011), the author gradually moved from black and white graphics to color, and over time began to reveal their own "neural" features of the artist's handwriting. Later, her works were marked by the spirit of experimentation, a line that swirls like baroque, but the form flirts with rainbow colors, like avant-garde flashes. Her outstanding creative style was the reason for her recognition as an artist during her student years, when Lydia Selyanko began to actively participate in almost all modern exhibition projects organized by the Kyiv branch of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In total, more than 40 exhibitions have been completed during her professional work in the field of art 10 years after graduation. An interesting color vision of the works, exoticism, "tropical graffiti" on her paintings, close to the languages of street and mural art, invariably draw attention to the artist's paintings, form a modern fan club of connoisseurs.
