Abstract
The dissertation for a scientific degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences in Specialty 13.00.04 – «Theory and Methods of Professional Education» (Pedagogical Sciences). – Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University, Kyiv, 2021. The dissertation is concerned with substantiation, development and experimental verification of the methods of developing professional and personal qualities of the future music teacher in the educational folk instrumental ensemble. The object of research is professional training of a future music teacher. The subject of research is the methods of developing professional and personal qualities of the future music teacher in the educational folk instrumental ensemble. The dissertation analyzes the current state of research on the problem of developing professional and personal qualities of future music teachers in the educational folk instrumental ensemble. The inconsistencies and problematic aspects of orchestra-ensemble training that obstruct the development of professional and personal qualities of future music teachers are revealed. The essence of the phenomenon is revealed and its definition is clarified. The professional and personal qualities of a music teacher are defined as a set of professional and pedagogical, musical and creative, social and personal competency characteristics that develop in the process of learning and improve in professional activity, thus ensure its effectiveness. Three dominant components represent the structure of a music teacher's professional and personal qualities: professional and pedagogical qualities (professional motivation, education and value orientation, pedagogical tact, pedagogical style, professional image); musical and creative qualities (musicality and musical talent, musical and methodical ability, creativity, musical and performing mobility, stage adaptability); and socio-personal qualities (social activity, emotional stability, character traits, erudition, authority and leadership). The levels of professional and personal qualities in participants of educational folk instrumental ensembles (low, medium, high) according to the indicators of motivation-value, creativity-activity, and personal criteria are determined. The peculiarities of developing the professional and personal qualities of students in educational folk instrumental groups are examined, the problematic aspects of this type of professional training are revealed, and the content of basic research concepts is specified. The educational folk instrumental ensemble is characterized as one of the forms of musical instrumental training of future music teachers, which is based on the principles of collective music-making and provides acquiring skills on playing folk instruments, gaining experience of ensemble performance and professional communication, developing creative skills and professional personal qualities. The development of the professional and personal qualities of future music teachers in the educational folk instrumental ensemble is defined as a process carried out under the developed methods that provides the development of students’ professional, pedagogical, musical, creative and socio-personal qualities. The methodology of developing the professional and personal qualities of future music teachers in the educational folk instrumental ensemble is theoretically substantiated as a step-by-step multicomponent dynamic process based on certain scientific approaches, principles, pedagogical conditions, forms, methods and teaching means. The essence and educational significance of the method are determined, which is that students’ professional training in the educational ensemble must be reoriented from specialized (performing) to general professional (the main task of which is the development of general and professional competencies, professional experience, and professional and personal qualities of students). The following are the main components of the author's methodology: target (which reflects the purpose and tasks of the developed method, the content of educational and methodological support of the research process); content-procedural (which reveals the specifics of the implementation in the ensemble class of axiological, systemic, activity-based and competency-based approaches in compliance with certain principles, pedagogical conditions, forms, methods and means of teaching students; reflects the interdisciplinary interaction of educational courses in developing professional and personal qualities of students; the content of the educational, pedagogical and concert-performing activity of participants of the educational folk instrumental ensemble); result-evaluation (which covers the system of evaluation of participants of the pedagogical experiment in accordance with the established criteria, indicators and levels, and the result of training students according to the proposed method and the expediency of its application in the educational folk instrumental ensemble). An experimental test of the effectiveness of the method of developing the professional and personal qualities of future music teachers in the educational folk instrumental ensemble has been conducted. The quantitative and qualitative processing of experimental data, as well as the analysis and verification of the experimental research results on their significance have all been completed. The research findings have practical implications in the development of syllabi for the disciplines «Orchestra Class» and «Ensemble Class» for students of specialty 025 «Musical Art» of the first (Bachelor’s) level of higher education; the development of diagnostic tools for determining the levels of the professional and personal qualities of music students of music and pedagogical specialty. The research materials can be used in the system of higher art education, in particular in the organization of educational orchestras and ensembles, as well as in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education, in conducting masterclasses for leaders of educational musical instrumental groups.
