Abstract

The article is devoted to the development of elementary mathematical concepts in preschool children. It is shown how the use of didactic material – blocks of Z. Dienesh on the mathematical development of preschool children, their independence and creativity. One of the educational areas of the Basic component of preschool education is “The child in the sensory-cognitive space”, which involves the formation of sensory-cognitive, logical-mathematical and research competence of the child. In this regard, the article describes the pedagogical conditions for the formation of elementary mathematical concepts of preschool children. The content of the article includes a description of the results of a study aimed at the implementation of these pedagogical conditions using the blocks of Z. Dienesh. It is noted that the set of blocks attracts preschool children in various shapes, bright colors, versatility in use. Varieties of games and game exercises with Dienesh logic blocks are revealed. Some methodical aspects of work with the specified blocks are described. Examples of games and game exercises with Dienesh logic blocks are given. In general, the article shows that the purposeful and organized use of various teaching aids by teachers of preschool education affects not only the mathematical development of preschool children, but also their mental development in general.
