Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of using of means and techniques of modern choreography in the work of modern choreographers. An analysis of the works of famous directors and a comparison of their choreographic vocabulary with the basic technical principles of modern choreography, created by the founders of this style. Today's choreographer-director, in his compositions, harmoniously combines individual style of work with artistic means and techniques of modern dance, which proves the relevance of the style created in the first half. The following well-known choreographers of XX century vividly combine their own choreographic thought with the basics of modern dance in their ballets: Sidi Larby Sherkawi («Puzzle»), Matthew Bourne («Swan Zero»), Jiri Killian («Little Death»), Medi Valersky («Little») and Alexander Ekman («Cactus»).
