The study has found that the most used in the language of modern Ukrainian media discourse are secondary verbs. Individual practices of journalists' speech have proved that journalistic discourse supplements the vocabulary with uncodified grammatical classes of words by means of verbal derivatology, including noun and adjective bases. Attention has been focused on productive and unproductive word-forming types of verbs denoting action, state, various processes. It has been noted that a special role in the modern media sector belongs to colloquial verbs with Ukrainian-language affixes.Word-forming affixes for the names of individual elements in media texts have been singled out. Examples illustrate the influence of word-formation means on the formation of the reader's opinion as a consumer of an information resource. The analyzed media text resource gives grounds to record the influence of international bases on the formation of derived verbs. Attention has been focused on the processes of autochthony with the dynamics of the word-forming type of verbs on -uva. Examples illustrate the ability of this word-forming type to combine with different motivated bases to enhance the expressiveness of the opinion. Frequency indicates the use of word-forming verbs on -y(ty)/-i(ty). Examples confirm the ability of the named word-forming type to form verb derivatives from proper names. The role of adjective bases for the creation of derivative units of the verb type on -y (ti)/- i (ti) is indicated. The word-forming type of verbs in -о (nу), which is rarely used in the language of periodicals, has been recorded to denote acts of speech that have an expressive color. The influence of international bases on production with specific Ukrainian word-forming types of derived verbs has been also outlined. The importance of the processes of revival of Ukrainian-language derivatology for preserving the identity of postmodern journalism has been proved.
