Abstract

The strategic goal of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is to form in Ukrainians a collective immunity to a deadly disease - COVID-19. This requires that at least 70% of the adult population be immunized. However, today both in our country and in the world there is a lack of trust in vaccines against coronavirus COVID-19. Therefore, the aim of the study was to establish the state of vaccination and awareness of student youth of the Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University about vaccines and vaccination in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey covered 102 students. The answers of students are analyzed in the article. For educational purposes, the article presents a brief history of vaccination in the world and the mechanism of action of the modern innovative mRNA vaccine Pfizer-BioNTech in humans.
