Abstract

The article highlights the urgency of the problem of self-expression of children in the educational environment of preschool education. It was made analytical review of psychological and pedagogical research on the problem of “self-expression” of preschool children in general and children of the fifth year in particular. It’s raised issues of compliance of the practice of preschool education with the provisions outlined in the legal documents on the creation of conditions for self-expression of preschool children during various types of children's activities and activities in preschool education. There are outlined peculiarities of the introduction of personality-oriented model of education in the context of the conflict with the stereotypes of the traditional lessons system of preschool education. Analysis of the educational direction “Personality of the child” (State Standard of Preschool Education, ed. 2021) in the light of the expected competence of the child when entering school, which is part of “self-expression” as an important process of becoming a child’s selfconcept. The importance of the realization of the child’s self-expression in the personal paradigm in education is argued at the article. It’s characterized he definition of “self-expression” of preschool children, which is considered as a way for a person to realize himself as a person in activities, communication, solving life problems. The analysis of the state of the possibility of realization of “self-expression” of children in modern kindergartens of Ukraine is carried out. Determined the pedagogical conditions for creating an educational environment that takes into account the possibility of “self-expression” of preschool children. Perspectives are defined for the modification of Reggio pedagogy, which is aimed at creating an educational environment for the possibility of “selfexpression” of preschool children in various activities, in which the child presents his self. Attention is focused on the importance of substantial changes in the creation of the development educational environment at Ukrainian kindergartens, which will promote the “self-expression” of children. There are defined conclusions and prospects made of further researches
